Sheila has participated in emergency response incidents, environmental assessments, plant sitings and community improvement projects. During 20+ years in the energy industry, she was involved in acquisition, management and disposition projects involving production facilities, tank farms, pipeline systems and chemical plants. She also negotiated and sold non-strategic assets and their linked liability. She created and organized an "environmental classroom" for an Oklahoma community impacted by a serious industrial accident, and she has directed town hall meetings and restored relationships between populations and corporations in the wake of new industrial siting and construction. She also reduced corporate liability and negotiated mutually beneficial settlements following a plant accident that triggered 100+ claims and multiple evacuations. Sheila has helped parties prepare for lawsuits and review and evaluate proprietary information. She recognizes her corporate clients' need for confidentiality, and for precise language in documentation. Annually, Sheila Mitchell Impact Management assumes no more than 8-10 major projects. While all projects are funded by a sole party, Sheila remains impartial toward all parties and seeks to address the issues of all stakeholders, from the beginning of the assignment to project completion.
